I have created a shaft worthy of the name High Performance.
The Joss HP shaft has a low-deflection package installed in the front of the shaft.

The ferrule is an integral part of any low-deflection high-performance shaft.

This ferrule is attached to the shaft with an expanding adhesive and threaded onto the wood.

Our tests show that the ferrule will hinge in toward the shaft, not away from the shaft, when the cue ball is hit with English.
If the ferrule is not fastened tight against the shaft, you will experience vibrations, which will be different each time you hit the ball.
