The Joss 855C Legacy Cue celebrates one of the classic designs created by Dan Janes during an important period in Joss history.

Inspired by an original Joss cue from 1985, the 855C brings a distinctive design from the past into today’s Legacy Series.

Dan Janes believed that a cue should combine performance, craftsmanship, and timeless style.

Therefore, the 855C Legacy reflects the same philosophy that guided his work for decades.

Every detail honors the traditional appearance that made these early Joss designs recognizable to players and collectors.

Handcrafted Joss 855C Legacy Cue

I build each Joss 855C Legacy Cue in our Maryland shop using the same commitment to quality that has defined Joss Cues since 1968.

Moreover, I personally oversee the construction and finishing of every cue that leaves my shop.

The Legacy Series gives me an opportunity to revisit some of my father’s most memorable designs.

However, these cues are not simply reproductions.

Instead, I build them using today’s Joss construction methods while preserving the character and appearance of the original designs.

Dan Janes helped shape modern American cue making through decades of innovation and craftsmanship.

His achievements include induction into the American Cuemakers Association Hall of Fame in 2003 and the International Cuemakers Association Hall of Fame in 2013.

Additionally, he received the American Cuemakers Association Lifetime Achievement Award in 2022.

I joined my father at Joss in 1979 and have spent more than 47 years building cues.

In 2017, I was honored as the American Cuemakers Association Cue Maker of the Year.
