Joss 1016 Pool Cue – American Cue Making Tradition

The Joss 1016 Pool Cue represents the craftsmanship, performance, and attention to detail that have defined Joss Cues for generations.

I build each cue in our Maryland shop, carefully focusing on balance, construction, feel, and finish from beginning to end.

A great-looking cue should also perform at a high level.

Therefore, I pay close attention to every component and how each part works together.

The result is the solid, consistent feel that players have come to expect from Joss.

Handcrafted Joss 1016 Pool Cue

I personally build each Joss 1016 Pool Cue using construction methods developed and refined over decades of cue-making.

Moreover, I carefully inspect the cue throughout the building and finishing process to maintain the quality associated with the Joss name.

Natural wood also plays an important role in the character of every cue.

Because grain, figure, and color naturally vary, no two finished cues will look exactly alike.

As a result, each 1016 has its own individual appearance and character.

My father, Dan Janes, founded Joss Cues in 1968 and became one of the most respected and influential American cue makers.

I joined him in 1979 and have now spent more than 47 years building cues and continuing the traditions he established.

In 2017, the American Cuemakers Association named me Cue Maker of the Year.

Today, I continue building Joss cues with the same commitment to craftsmanship, performance, and quality.

Proudly Made in the USA.
