The Joss HP “Kielwood” shaft is crafted from Canadian hard rock Maple, which has undergone “torrefaction.”

This process is a specialized curing and drying process that alters the characteristics of the maple.
The result is a unique caramel color, as any moisture and sugars are removed. This makes it lighter, more warp-resistant, and with superior strength and stiffness.

This shaft is a playing shaft, not intended as a break shaft.
