Ebony Pearl Points Design
The Ebony Pearl Points cue combines classic American cue-making traditions with premium materials and timeless styling.
At first glance, the highly figured curly maple captures your attention.
Then, the four solid ebony points create bold contrast and give the cue a refined, elegant appearance.
Because each ebony point features a pearl diamond inlay, the design adds just the right amount of sophistication without becoming overly ornate.
The Ebony Pearl Points design reflects the philosophy that has guided Joss Cues for decades: exceptional performance combined with lasting beauty.
Premium Curly Maple and Ebony Contrast
The forearm begins with high-figure curly maple sourced from Canada.
This premium wood displays a distinctive rippling grain pattern that creates remarkable depth and a three-dimensional effect.
For generations, craftsmen have prized curly maple, sometimes called fiddle-back maple because of its use in fine violins.
Before any maple enters production, we carefully evaluate its grain structure, density, and stability.
Therefore, only wood that meets our highest standards is used in a Joss cue.
The four ebony points create a striking visual contrast against the lighter maple.
Furthermore, each point features a pearl diamond inlay that adds brilliance and elegance.
Together, these elements create a cue that feels both traditional and sophisticated.
The ebony theme continues into the butt sleeve.
There, I loaded the rear with maple and pearl inlays that enhance contrast and create visual balance throughout the cue.
Traditional Irish Linen Feel
Master cue makers have trusted Irish linen wraps for generations. Consequently, Joss has offered Irish linen wraps from the very beginning.
For the Joss 20154, we hand-press traditional black-and-white-speckled Irish linen to perfection.
As a result, the wrap delivers a secure grip, excellent durability, and the traditional feel that serious players continue to prefer.
To complete the cue, we hand-polish the stainless-steel joint to a mirror finish.
Therefore, the cue provides crisp feedback, lasting durability, and classic visual appeal.
Full-Core Performance Technology
While the appearance attracts attention, performance remains the true measure of any cue.
The Joss 20154 features full-core construction extending from the butt plate to the joint. As a result, the cue offers superior structural integrity, increased resistance to warpage, and the solid one-piece feel that players consistently praise.
In addition, the full-core design improves energy transfer throughout the cue. Consequently, players experience dependable feedback, enhanced consistency, and a superior hit on every shot.
The center core remains one of the reasons Joss continues to produce some of the most solid-playing cues in the industry.
